My journey in art led me to the technique of drypoint etching. In this technique I have found new avenues of creativity.

As I am fond of drawing I find drypoint ideal to continue using the sketch in combination with a varied palette. The brilliance of the etching ink makes the mixing and matching of hues exciting. There is also an element of nervous anticipation on the outcome of the print.

I look for inspiration in the environment I grew up in, its colours, textures and its people.

I am greatly influenced by the colour combinations and designs that are used in the varieties of weaves found in India. Some of the designs are traditional but timeless and at the same time can be used in the present context to give a contemporary feel.
